Paul Brothwood | Honda Adventure Roads 2026

Image
Paul Brothwood travelled to the Pyrenees as part of Honda Adventure Roads 2026. Paul Brothwood during Honda Adventure Roads 2026 in the Pyrenees. Riding the Honda Transalp alongside a select group of 30 riders, the experience inspired a series of articles covering leadership, adventure riding, Kirian Mirabet, Tosha Schareina and the transition from a Suzuki Hayabusa to off-road motorcycling. Honda Adventure Roads 2026 was one of the most memorable motorcycling experiences of my life. I joined a select group of 30 riders for an adventure through the Pyrenees, riding the Honda Transalp across mountain roads, gravel tracks, rocky climbs and remote routes that most riders never get the chance to experience. For me, the event was about much more than motorcycles. It was about preparation, teamwork, confidence, learning from experts and stepping outside my comfort zone. Coming from a Suzuki Hayabusa 25th Anniversary, the move into adventure riding was a completely different challenge. This ...

Paul Brothwood | The Spirit of Honda Adventure Roads 2026

Image
Paul Brothwood travelled to the Pyrenees as part of Honda Adventure Roads 2026 expecting challenging terrain, spectacular scenery and an opportunity to develop new skills on the Honda Transalp. The terrain regularly pushed riders beyond their comfort zones and highlighted the importance of preparation and teamwork. The event delivered all of those things. What I did not expect was how much the experience would be shaped by the people. Honda Adventure Roads 2026 brought together a select group of 30 riders from around the world. Different nationalities, different backgrounds and different levels of experience, all connected by a shared passion for motorcycling and adventure. The route through the Pyrenees was demanding. Rocky climbs, loose gravel, steep descents and remote trails regularly pushed riders beyond their comfort zones. Looking back at some of the terrain now, it is easy to understand why preparation, training and teamwork were such important parts of the event. The challenge...

Paul Brothwood travelled to the Pyrenees as part of Honda Adventure Roads 2026, a unique adventure riding experience that brought together a select group of 30 riders from around the world. Coming from a road riding background, including ownership of a Suzuki Hayabusa 25th Anniversary, the event represented an opportunity to step into unfamiliar territory and develop new skills on the Honda Transalp. One of the highlights of the journey was the opportunity to learn from Kirian Mirabet. Kirian has built a reputation as one of Spain's leading adventure and enduro riders. His experience riding challenging terrain and helping others develop their skills made him an invaluable part of the Honda Adventure Roads experience. Throughout the event, riders benefited from practical advice, coaching and guidance designed to improve confidence and capabili...

Paul Brothwood | From a Suzuki Hayabusa 25th Anniversary to Honda Adventure Roads 2026

Image
If somebody had told me a year ago that I would swap a Suzuki Hayabusa for a Honda Transalp and spend a week riding off-road through the Pyrenees, I probably would not have believed them. Before Honda Adventure Roads 2026, most of my riding experience came from road bikes, including my Suzuki Hayabusa 25th Anniversary. For most of my riding life, performance motorcycles have been my passion. My Suzuki Hayabusa 25th Anniversary remains one of my favourite motorcycles. It is fast, comfortable and capable of covering huge distances with ease. The Hayabusa has taken me across the UK and Europe. It has been part of some fantastic adventures and remains a motorcycle that puts a smile on my face every time I ride it. Then Honda Adventure Roads 2026 arrived. The event brought together a select group of 30 riders from around the world to tackle a route through the Pyrenees using the Honda Transalp. The journey would include mountain passes, gravel tracks, rocky climbs and remote locations that ...

Paul Brothwood | Meeting Dakar Rider Tosha Schareina During Honda Adventure Roads 2026

Paul Brothwood travelled to the Pyrenees as part of Honda Adventure Roads 2026, an adventure riding event that brought together a select group of 30 riders from around the world. One of the highlights of the journey was the opportunity to spend time with Dakar Rally rider Tosha Schareina, one of the leading competitors in modern rally raid racing. The Pyrenees provided an incredible backdrop for Honda Adventure Roads 2026, combining technical riding, spectacular scenery and unforgettable experiences. For anyone with an interest in motorcycles, the Dakar Rally represents one of the toughest challenges in motorsport. Riders face thousands of kilometres of difficult terrain, extreme temperatures and constant pressure over many days of competition. Watching Tosha ride during Honda Adventure Roads 2026 quickly demonstrated why he competes at the highest level. What stood out was not outright speed. It was control, consistency and precision. Whether navigating rocky mountain trails, loose gr...

A select group of 30 riders taking part in Honda Adventure Roads 2026. Paul Brothwood travelled to the Pyrenees as part of Honda Adventure Roads 2026, a unique adventure riding event bringing together a select group of riders from around the world. Honda Adventure Roads 2026 was one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences I have undertaken in recent years As an Operations Manager, Chartered Environmentalist and lifelong motorcyclist, I am used to managing risk, solving problems and working as part of a team. What I discovered in the Pyrenees was that many of the same principles that apply in business also apply when riding a motorcycle through remote mountain terrain. I joined a select group of 30 riders from around the world for Honda Adventure Roads 2026. For many of us, it was an opportunity to step outside our comfort zone and experience adventure riding in a way that few people ever get the chance to do. My motorcycle for the event was the Honda Transalp. The Honda Tran...
